Compare the price per volume.
Brevo Starter starts at $9 a month for 5,000 emails and goes up to 100,000 emails for $82; 50,000 emails cost $56. Above 100,000 emails you need Standard, which costs $139 for 100,000 emails, $249 for 250,000 and $429 for 500,000. Professional starts at $499 for 150,000 emails. Campaigns and transactional email draw from the same volume.
Mailumi Pro includes 50,000 emails for $20 and Scale 250,000 for $80, with extra emails at $1.00 and $0.80 per 1,000. Up to 10,000 emails a month Brevo Starter costs less, at $9 for 5,000 and $17 for 10,000. Above that, Mailumi Pro costs less.
Contacts are not tied to your volume.
On Brevo Starter and Standard, the email volume you choose also sets how many contacts you can store: 500 contacts with 5,000 emails, 1,500 with 10,000 and 2,500 with 15,000, and up to 500,000 from 20,000 emails. On every Mailumi plan you can keep up to 100 audiences of 100,000 contacts each, and campaign emails simply count toward your monthly allowance.
Brevo offers much more for marketers, depending on the plan: automation workflows, A/B testing, landing pages, SMS, WhatsApp and a sales CRM. If you need those, Brevo is the broader tool. Mailumi focuses on email from your product, with Campaigns for updates and newsletters.
For developers.
Brevo sends with POST /v3/smtp/email, an api-key header and nested objects for the sender, recipients and reply-to address, with htmlContent and textContent for the body. Mailumi uses from, to, subject and html or text with a Bearer API key that can be limited to one domain and given an expiry. Brevo’s SMTP relay uses a separate SMTP key, while Mailumi’s SMTP server on Pro and Scale accepts a Mailumi API key as the password.
Brevo offers SDKs for seven languages, batches of up to 1,000 emails per request and attachments up to 25 MB. Mailumi has an official Node.js SDK and CLI, batches of up to 100 emails and attachments up to 10 MB in total, plus step-by-step DNS help that adds the records on Cloudflare in one click.
Both turn incoming email into webhooks. Brevo needs a receiving domain that differs from your sending domain. Mailumi can receive on your sending domain or a subdomain, signs every webhook in the Standard Webhooks format and filters by domain or address, such as support@.
