Compare the price at your volume.
At 50,000 emails a month both Pro plans cost $20. The difference shows as you grow: Mailumi Scale includes 250,000 emails for $80. On Resend, 250,000 emails cost $170 on Pro (100,000 emails for $35 plus 150,000 extra at $0.90 per 1,000).
Marketing email is priced differently too. Resend bills marketing email by contacts: its free plan includes broadcasts to 1,000 contacts, and paid marketing plans start at $40 a month for 5,000 contacts. Mailumi includes Campaigns in every plan, and campaign emails use the same allowance as your API emails.
A familiar API.
Both send with a JSON POST containing from, to, subject and html or text, plus cc, bcc, reply_to and attachments. Switching usually means changing the URL and the API key. Mailumi API keys can be limited to one domain and given an expiry.
Both receive email through webhooks. Mailumi signs every webhook with HMAC-SHA256, retries automatically and shows a full delivery log in the dashboard.
Which one fits you?
Resend offers extras such as SDKs for more languages and React Email, and up to 1,000 domains on Scale. Mailumi focuses on a clean HTTP API with an official Node.js SDK that uses the same method names as Resend’s, an SMTP server for software that only speaks SMTP, email data stored in the EU instead of the United States, step-by-step DNS help with one-click Cloudflare setup, campaigns without contact-based pricing and a lower price from 150,000 emails a month.
